Tellmewhere newsfeed, reloaded

tellmewhere motto is "work more to please you more". And reading your comments and improvements suggestions make us think your desires are unlimited. We were overwhelmed by complaints about "news" on the "me" page. "Hopeless mess", "confusing chaos" : latest emails received on the tellmewhere box are merciless (and only the gentle ones were quoted above). So, we worked up a sweat to improve the overall readability of the newsfeed.

From now on, news are grouped by date. Probably obvious but...

Above all, you can filter the news your really care about, like "Contributions to my places" or "Comments in my neighbourhood". Click on the small wrench to open the option panel).

Having tellmewhere remember your personal selection is icing on the cake !

tellmewhere to look

tellmewhere.com was updated this week !
  • Discover two new pages dedicated to places and members search.
A friend told you about a sweet coffee shop but you forgot its address ? Just fill the places input field and fire the search. A map listing all matching entries will open.

  • A previous update was attaching a mini-map to every place detailed view. Many of you suggested that moving the point from here would be great, instead of switching to all places page. You were right... and we did it !

  • Opera lovers, rejoice ! tellmewhere now supports your favorite browser.

A new home for members

Dear members, your visits on our website won't be the same anymore! The former homepage has just been replaced by the "news" page, which enables you to directly discover what's up on tellmewhere.com when you log in.

When you log in, you want to see your favorites' latest contributions? You want to know if the places you've commented have been commented or modified by others? From now on, you can do all this on the "news" page.

It is displayed just when you log in, and is broken down into 4 panels:
  • "My news" which shows all what's new about you on tellmewhere.com : news from your favourites, comments about your places, etc.
  • "Tell me where" which enables you to access directly to some actions : see my messages, see my favourites' recommendations, etc.
  • "News about places near home" which shows places that have been recently commented or modified in your neighbourhood.
  • "Active members near home" in which you can see who's describing places in your neighbourhood.

Now, it's your go! See you soon,

Greg

Tellmewhere I can celebrate it!

Since our website has opened, more than 3000 comments have been published and more than 10 000 different places have been updated.

These significant numbers mean a success, which tellemewhere.com owes to its community. Thanks to the community which is growing every day, tellmewhere.com is no longer a dream, but a reality. Our community is also more and more eclectic, its members more and more original. For instance, Pat45 has shared with us his interest in grinders – you don’t believe it, do you? Where can one, but on tellmewhere.com, undertake to discover French grinders all around the country? Nowhere! And this is only the beginning! ;)

See you soon.

The team.
