The new application is based on Tellmewhere’s service and takes advantage of Tellmewhere’s extensive data. This partnership is the result of the desire to combine the two communities. Last Wednesday, December 8 and Thursday, December 9, the Tellmewhere team was thrilled to take part in the largest European exhibition dedicated to the Internet world, “LeWeb 2010”. Launched in 2004 by the French blogger Loïc Le Meur, this annual event facilitated two days of conferences and meetings between actors on the web. This year, Tellmewhere participated as a sponsor!

Here are some pictures taken at the event, so you can imagine yourself virtually in the heart of the team (click to enlarge)! A cotton candy machine, magic tricks, and demonstrations of the Tellmewhere application drew in the crowds over the two days.

Nearly 2,500 participants attended the event despite the heavy snowstorm, including Carlos Ghosn (CEO of Renault) and Marissa Mayer (Vice President of Google), as well as our CEO Gilles Barbier, who was interviewed especially for France Televisions.

A promising outcome during the first day of this 10th edition, December 8, the hashtag #leweb was ranked first time a global trend on Twitter.

Tellmewhere is looking forward to LeWeb 2011!
